Training and Apprenticeship Opportunities
An important component of the future of Custom Quip Engineering, and manufacturing in general, is providing individuals with the very best training and apprenticeship opportunities. To get the best start in a manufacturing career, it begins with an apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Building, where you learn valuable and diverse skills both on the job and with training at TAFE.
What our apprentices learn
Nothing beats learning on the job. We know how important hands-on experience is so we make sure CQE apprentices are exposed to a large range of skilled trades. Vehicle Body Building apprenticeships with CQE will give you invaluable experience in a variety of areas:
- Sandblasting and industrial painting
- Fit up/parts
- General mechanical and maintenance
Custom Quip Engineering apprentices are fortunate because they learn from an experienced team and graduate with versatile and flexible skills. They will gain a thorough understanding of customer service along the way and build a strong foundation to work in the transport, sandblasting and painting, or farming and agriculture industry.
They may be provided with fantastic opportunities to continue on with the company after graduating and potentially work their way up to managing the workshop team, as experienced by previous employees at CQE.
The Custom Quip environment
Custom Quip Engineering began as a small manufacturing business based in the WA Wheatbelt and although we’ve grown over the years and moved our base to Welshpool, we have continued running the company based on family business acumen, whilst providing quality equipment.
As an apprentice, you will have plenty of chances to succeed in a structured, friendly and safe workplace because you will be working alongside strong leaders who put people first. You’re not just another number or apprentice at CQE, you’re part of a cohesive team.
We ask in return, you strive to uphold our values of high quality work, attention to detail, respect of fellow employees and outstanding customer service. Our reputation in the manufacturing industry is based on these principles and must be upheld at all times. That means on top of the practical skills CQE apprentices learn, you will enter the workforce with a strong work ethic and maturity beyond your peers.
